Moondog (pictured) composed "Bird's Lament" in 1969, and I discovered it only today.

Orson Welles' philosophy of screen v. stage acting was a subtle but important revision of the same old, same old: be strong but not broad; big is good, but stay focused. He cited James Cagney. He saw no such thing as "movie acting" at all. I'm still wrapping my head around it.

Watched: The Comeback (series), Please Give. Tough and slightly saccharine, in that order.

Unaccountably and without warning, Rhan and I have become engrossed in NBA basketball. We watched two games in a row last night.

A skilled player must know if he's going to make the shot as soon as the ball leaves his hands.
A similar situation with archers and their arrows and bows.
Sometimes when I play piano I get lost trying to read music, but if I close my eyes my hands somehow know where to go.
