Mary Manning's Unchanging Window is without a doubt my favorite place on the net.
It is the first site on my list of daily sites to visit.
It is so good that sometimes, I just stop right there. There isn't any need to go further.
I don't know Mary personally, but I feel like I do. That's probably a mistake, but Unchanging Window is so rich and beautiful that I feel like this person must be equally fascinating.
Unchanging Window is different everyday.
It is rare if the log portion of Unchanging Window is not updated daily.
Mary's images are these wonderful little nonlinear narratives.
I am always amazed and humbled by her ability to tell a story with pictures.
The rest of the site is a minimally structured narrative as well,
constructed links and wonderful places that Mary has visited and is now sharing with you.
It is exactly what I love about the internet
and it's the one thing that major corporations and small businesses everywhere
seem to have completely misunderstood: the internet is a tool with which to share.
